What’s the 1st thing your reader sees?
The thing to remember when you’re blogging is that it’s the title people read first. Therefore, the catchier the title the better (make sure you can back it up though, don’t write a blog post about re-potting a plant and call it The World’s Sexiest Gardens!)Your title should concisely sum up what your post is about in the most attention grabbing way.
Questions, for example, make great titles:
What would you do if you accidentally bought a house with no windows?
A house with no windows? How bizarre. Who accidentally bought it? Let’s have a read and find out more.
Or, provide the proposition in the title:
How to turn a house with no windows into a light filled home
Or,
The man who bought a house then found out it had no windows
There are many ways to skin a cat and each will attract a different reader. Think about the type of reader you’re looking for and write your title for them.Here’s some title templates to consider if you get stuck:
